Office Assistant
Part Time | Monday through Friday | 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Sunflower Development Center is looking for a friendly, dependable, and highly organized Office Assistant to join our team.
This person will serve as an important afternoon support person for our busy pediatric center, helping with front desk coverage, families, staff needs, supplies, organization, and day to day administrative tasks.
This is a great position for someone who enjoys staying busy, helping others, keeping things organized, and being part of a fun and fast paced environment.
What You’ll Do
• Answer incoming phone calls and assist with basic front desk needs
• Greet families, visitors, and staff in a friendly and professional manner
• Help support afternoon client arrivals and departures
• Assist families with basic questions and direct them to the appropriate team member when needed
• Keep the front desk, staff areas, supply areas, and shared spaces organized
• Restock supplies throughout the center
• Monitor inventory and let leadership know when supplies are running low
• Assist with routine supply orders and organization of incoming items
• Receive and organize deliveries and packages
• Prepare, copy, laminate, file, and organize materials for staff
• Assist with basic clerical and administrative tasks
• Help prepare materials or supplies needed for upcoming activities, meetings, or events
• Assist leadership and staff with miscellaneous projects and tasks as needed
• Help identify things that need attention throughout the center and take initiative to address them
• Help keep the center organized and running smoothly throughout the afternoon

Experience in a receptionist, office, administrative, childcare, retail, hospitality, or customer service position is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person.
About the Role
This is a hands on support position. While front desk coverage and answering phones are part of the role, this position is best suited for someone who enjoys moving around, organizing, helping staff, solving small day to day problems, and making sure things get done.
We are looking for someone who can become a reliable afternoon go to person for our team and help create an organized and welcoming environment for our staff and families.
Schedule
Monday through Friday
12:00 PM to 5:00 PM
Occasional Saturday hours may be available for scheduled make up sessions, special events, or other center needs.
